It’s 40F outside and 38F in the warehouse… you’ll notice that everyone but me has 2 coats on. “Nipply” doesn’t come close to describing how cold I was. You can’t see it, but just to the left of me was a huge patio heater. In between takes, I would rush under it and try to defrost. Stacy Ransom (left) had an extra sweater on set which saved me from full frostbite. I didn’t regain feeling in my little toe until the next day.
To my right, Antoinette worked her magic on my fly-away hair. She had a tough job… all of my performance scenes were choreographed with lots of head turns and fingers through my hair. Antoinette rushed me constantly armed with comb and hairspray. By the end of the day, my hair was so crunchy that it felt like a solid matt of glue attached to my head.
Shooting in front of the Green Screen was unique because the look of the set behind me would be added to the video with computer graphics in post production. At the time of the shoot, we hadn’t decided on a final look for the set, so I had to perform solely to the camera and ignore my environment completely.
